About midway through our trip, Sia had a brilliant idea: Wake up at 2am in the morning, pay 90 bucks, and bike down the crater of a 10,000 foot dormant volcano. Did I mention it was about 35 degrees up at the summit? So yea, it sounded like good fun to me. Above, we got up there at about 4am in the morning, and waited until sunrise before embarking on our journey down the crater. It was FREEZING up there. Oh, yea, I forgot to say, it started raining like mad about three-fourths down so we also got the opportunity to freeze our balls for a while. Further down, it's already bright and sunny and warming up. Great views from about 5,000 feet elevation. Below, pictures taken from Sia's camera
Sia: Yea, I know I bitched before we got there, on the way there, on the way down, and after it was all done, but hey, it was worth it :) |
