Pool Competitions

A new type of competition is our monthly Pool tournament. Generally held at either House of Billiards in Santa Monica, or Jerry's Deli in the valley, we compete in teams of two vs two, or on occasion, 3 vs 2 or 3 vs 3. Because the nature of our competitions include teams, and these teams frequently switch depending on the players present, each person gets his own score and victories. This means, for instance, if myself and Nick were a team for one game and we won, we would get 1 victory each. Then if I switch teams with Matin, and Nick & Matin win, Nick and Matin would get 1 victory each and I would get nothing for that game.

03/27/05 RECAP: Participants: Rodney, Danny, Nick

Unbelievable! After nearly a 1 year break in the action, this weekend we met up for a free for all 3 way deathmatch between myself, Nick and Rodney. Game one would go to Nick, as he would dominate in usual fashion, taking everyone out in quick order. Game 2 would fall for me, as I got on a hot streak and hit 4 balls in a row. By game 3, myself and Nick were both feeling the effects of 2 Guinness beers, and Rodney took advantage, capitalizing on a few easy missed shots by Nick and myself to take the game. We would go into Game 4 for the nights championship match. Everyone had a difficult time making their shots, but finally I was able to take Rodney out with 2 nifty makes. It would be a duel between Nick and me, with several do-overs as the white ball kept going in... but in the end, I would reign supreme pool champion!

02/21/04 RECAP: Participants: Siavash, Paul, Danny, Nick

Paul is alive. It's a miracle. Anyhow, me and Nick won a 3 out of 5 challenge in Santa Monica. We won the first, third and fifth games. We traded teams several times, particularly myself. Thank you to Paul for switching teams for us in the end.

02/04/03 RECAP: Participants: Rodney, Danny, Nick, Sam Jelly

I missed an update from Hollywood Billiards about 2 weeks ago unfortunately. Basically, me and Nick had an off night, as Rodney and Jelly dominated. Somehow, those two fools also won 2 out of 3 against me and Nick this week at our Santa Monica location.

Well, perhaps Lexi's house will become the 3rd official place of pool, after House of Billiards in Santa Monica and Hollywood Billiards Bar & Grill in Hollywood. Basically, I sucked tonight :( Nick, Paul, Rodney, Jelly all won.

07/08/02 RECAP: Participants: Rodney, Danny, Matin, Nick, Siavash, John, Sam Jelly, Sam Dog, some women, some asians

I don't remember who ended up winning the final game unfortunately. But just about everyone (except for me) picked up at least 1 victory. The Asians and women don't matter here, since they arent a part of Elat, so their victories are forfeited.

06/23/02 RECAP: Participants: Rodney, Danny, Matin, Nick, Siavash, John

Rodney, Sia and John won the first game. Myself, Nick and Matin came back from behind to win game number 2, but we were unable to defend our titles, and Rodney and company came back to win the final game. Also I would like to say HI to Rodfag, who has been missin in action for nearly 3 weeks, as he was mourning about Tyson.

05/19/02 RECAP: Participants: Rodney, Danny, Matin, Nick

Damn Nick and Matin won 2 out of 3 against Rodney and me. All the games were fairly close, but they would have completed a sweep except that in the second game, they hit the black ball into the wrong hole.

03/01/02 RECAP: Participants: Rodney, Sam Jelly, Danny, Nick, Siavash

Sam Jelly dominated tonight. Ridiculous. All other teams basically were hitting the black ball in or some other sort or stupid mistake and thus giving Jelly & Co. the wins repeatedly. Penetration.

Tonight was the Night for Nick and Rod fags...they both won multiple times. Matin, myself, Jelly and John also won a few games here and there though.

Wow, it was carnage! There were like 12 people there...2 tables...deathmatch style... I raped everyone with three victories in a row!!! We played about a half dozen or more games...lots of fun.

01/12/02 RECAP: Participants: Nick, Rodney, Sam Jelly, Danny, Matin

Our first set of games ever! Nick, myself and Matin won our first game. In the second game, Matin switched to Rodney & Sam Jelly's team, and again, Nick and I dominated, as I cleaned up the board at the end to seal our title defense. In the third game, Matin again switched back to be with me and Nick, and unfortunately, Sam Jelly & Rodney were able to steal a victory.
