Literature Kiosk

This area is basically my literature and educational stuff. Essays and Term Papers I've written, notes and information about books I've read.

Articles, information, and random funny stuff on famous people and their lives, and anything I find interesting and useful to put up on a website, which isn't of a humorous nature, and therefore would not belong anywhere else on this site. I also have a brief, but growing selection of short stories.

Oh yes, one of the most popular sections of my entire site is also to be found here...Chef Jamie's Fabulous Soul Food Cookbook!

It is said, as Nikita Khruschev was falling from power in the Soviet Union, he offered the following advice to his successor: ' Here are two letters. Do not open them until you find yourself in an awful situation in which you absolutely cannot get out of. In that circumstance, open the first letter. Do not open the second letter until you once again find yourself in a state of dire conditions in which you once again cannot escape from. In that situation, open the second letter.'  Well, some years later, Khruschev's successor found himself in a jam in which there seemed no escape. By this time, Khruschev was an old, frail man, living in the outskirts of Moscow. The successor opened the first letter. It read: 'Blame everything on me.' He did, and it worked like a charm. Some years later, the successor once again found himself in a tight situation, and again he remembered Khruschev's advice, so he opened the second letter. It read: 'Sit down, get a pen, and write two letters.'
