AOL Progs

AOL PROGS

This is my collection of IMPORTANT AOL progs. These are proggies that I feel changed the scene on America Online, or made a lasting impact in one way or another. If you feel I missed something of value, feel free to contact me about it. But please, I'm not gonna put up your stupid little punter or fader program on here.

AoHell By Da Chronic and The Rizzer, this is the first 'prog' ever made for AOL. It is the original classic, for AOL 2.5 and 3.0 (16bit). This is what started it all, and if you don't that by now, well, I don't even know what to tell you.
HaVok Final By... you guessed it, HaVoK, this was the 2nd major program released after AoHell. Was never quite as popular, but still widely used back in the 2.5 and 3.0 days.
Turbo IceDrop MMer By CooLziE (of W.a.Y.), this is the first fully automated mass mailing program. Works only for 16-bit versions of AOL.
Green Final MMer By the one and only bmxer, this is a small, very fast, and well written mass mail program. Was very popular in it's day. Works only for 16-bit versions of AOL.
Krylon Cans By fin, when this program came out, it was used by the majority of MM'ers because of speed and overall reliability. Also only for 16-bit versions of AOL.
Entity Server By my friend BoFeN, this is (along with Scream) were the first two serving programs during the early days of the scene. For AOL 2.5 only.
Scream Server Final Another great program by bmxer, this is one of the original serving programs which worked with any 16-bit version of AOL. It was (for its day) a very fast and reliable program.
AoNin98 Server Created by MemberTwo, this AoNiN98 was known for its stability. Not the fastest of servers, but you could leave it running for days without it crashing. It's still only in beta, but he never finished his program. Works for 32bit AOL 95 only.
Millenium 7 MMer/Server Another creation by BoFeN, his Millenium line was important because it was among the very first programs to be able to a) include both a server and MM'ing program, and b) work across multiple platforms (worked for 16 and 32 bit version of AOL).
Blizzard MMer/Server By NoVa, this was one of the most popular combo programs. It worked for ALL versions of AOL, from 2.5 up to 5.0 (maybe even 6). Very well coded and stable.
Fate-X Who could ever forget Fate-X by MagUs and FuNGii. It's undoubtedly among the most popular proggies ever (probably only behind AoHell). It provided entertainment (or annoyance) for all to enjoy.
